The WildWyn Story

Our Origins

WildWyn was founded by Tom Berry one of the pioneers of the global insect sector. Having spent twelve years in Asia founding and building Nutrition Technologies a pioneer in low energy mass insect rearing technology and industrial production he saw that the most powerful ecological solutions were often locked away in industrial systems. Tom created Wildwyn to bring those principles of regeneration and circular design back to the UK to solve environmental challenges on a more direct scale.

The name WildWyn reflects a belief in natural abundance and the potential for recovery when we work with nature. We have taken what works on an industrial scale and translated it into tangible results for land managers agricultural businesses and the professional retail market. Our mission is to move beyond theory and provide biological tools that have a measurable impact on our landscapes and soils.

Whether it is supplying nutrient rich frass to commercial farms providing dried larvae for conservation and game bird management on professional estates or partnering with garden retailers our products channel years of scientific development into high performance solutions. We have replaced the complexity of industrial biotech with simple effective tools that prioritize ecological performance and long term resilience.

No greenwashing no gimmicks just letting nature do what it does best.

About the Founder

Tom Berry is a lifelong builder and nature lover who spent over a decade pioneering black soldier fly systems. As a founder of Nutrition Technologies he transformed the business into one of Southeast Asia’s leading insect biotech companies. He designed large scale farms capable of rearing over a billion larvae at once built circular supply chains and developed groundbreaking products.

With WildWyn he is bringing that mission home. Having now transitioned to a founder led family business, his vision is personal. For Tom WildWyn is about more than supply chains. It is about capturing the magic and vitality of nature and preserving it for the next generation. Running the business with his family fuels his commitment to restoring our soils and landscapes so that his children and their peers inherit a more resilient world, that is more in tune with nature.

Wildwyn is the evolution of Tom’s work in circular economics. He is making complex biological solutions tangible for professional farmers estate managers and garden retail partners across the country. His goal is simple to provide the tools that allow professionals to restore their ecosystems because when biological health is a priority it restores the entire natural balance.
